Premium Organic Rye Grain:
This 2 lb. rye grain bag holds the superior quality of organic rye berries that give mushrooms a nutritious foundation. Mushroom enthusiasts trust rye grain for its consistent results in mushroom cultivation.
Perfect for Manure Loving Fungi:
The nature of rye grain makes it an unparalleled substrate, particularly for mushrooms that prefer dung environments. Here’s a breakdown:
Nutritional Abundance:
Containing a harmonious blend of carbs, proteins, and vital vitamins, rye grain mirrors the nutrient-dense matter that dung-loving mushrooms naturally grow on in the wild. This grain offers the ideal array of nutrients for vigorous mushroom development.
Swift Mycelial Colonization:
Due to their uniform size, rye grains pave the way for speedy mycelial spread. For dung-loving mushrooms, swift colonization is imperative to outpace potential competitors in nature.
Balanced Moisture Content:
A crucial aspet of mushroom cultivation, rye grain provides an excellent moisture balance for a flourishing cultivation setting; while too dry conditions hinder mycelium growth, overly damp conditions invite contamination.
Seamless Transition to Tubs and Bulk Grows:
Once the rye grain is fully colonized, blending the grains with bulk substrates like CVG is a cinch. This shift closely resembles the natural habitat of manure-loving mushrooms, giving them an expansive area to spread mycelium and bear fruit.
Suitable for Novices & Experts:
Our rye grain cultivation bags serve both newcomers and seasoned mycology enthusiasts. To make things even smoother, we include a user-friendly guid.
Our Method:
Our top-tier organic rye berries undergo a 24-hour soak in a gypsum solution. Subsequently, we transfer these grains to premium Unicorn Bags. Every bag is filled with 2 pounds of optimally hydrated rye grain. Each medium rye grain bag is equipped with a self-healing injection port (SHIP) and a 0.2 micron filter patch. To guarantee pristine, uncontaminated grain, bags are pressure-cooked at 17 PSI for 2.5 hours. We wrap up the process by sealing each bag under a laminar flow hood.
